She illustrated, wrote, and self published the paperback story and has big plans for the furture of Elbridge. Elbridge the Colonial Squirrel features Elbridge in a scurry to escape the evil clutches of a trapper who wants to eat him for supper. With the help of his historically named friends, lyman the mouse and Benjamin the trukey, he narrowly escapes fate. This brush with death helps Elbridge to realize the importance of individual freedom and liberty. His little troop decide to help the patriots, who a currently forming the Declaration of Independence, in their quest for freedom.
